Printable yarn shopping list

Print this yarn shopping list before you go to the store. Each row has room for the yarn name, weight, fiber, color, dye lot, yards per skein, skeins needed and price. Buying every skein from the same dye lot avoids a visible color change, so the sheet gives the lot number its own column.

How to use the yarn shopping list

1. Work out how many skeins you need with the blanket yarn calculator, or with the yarn substitution calculator if you're swapping the pattern's yarn.
2. Write the total for each color in the "Skeins" column, plus the yards per skein from the label.
3. At the store, check the dye lot on every label and write it down, then tick the row.
